Wichita's Old City Hall Building. Completed in 1892, the building is now a Wichita landmark and has housed the Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum since 1982. Designed by architects Proudfoot and Bird, it is built of Cambridge limestone and features tall Norman towers and Roman arches. Because of the carved stone detailing, it is considered a masterpiece of the stonecutters art.

  • An Amazing Museum for Wichita's local history. It is one of the best such museum in the U.S.A. The four floors of exhibits are professionally produced and feature the artifacts that make this city great. The old 19th century city hall has been exquisitly refurbished to house the museum and it an ehibit unto itself. Accessable, informative and well worth the trip!
