Jemelle is a village in the Belgian province of Namur and a submunicipality of the city of Rochefort. Jemelle is located about three kilometers east of the city center of Rochefort, at the confluence of the rivers Wamme and Lhomme.

According to a legend, the name was invented by the daughter of the Lord of Rochefort and is a corruption of "je me mêle", which means "I mingle". This would have been written as "Jememelle", and later shortened to "Jemelle".

The municipality was abolished in 1813 and Jemelle became part of Rochefort. In 1819, the municipality was re-established. In 1977, Jemelle became a submunicipality of Rochefort.
