  • I have seen the two swans many times, but there is one other all on its own. This swan has been hanging out at the east end jetty. I love watching the swan which rests on the walkway, but gets rudely disturbed by people with their dogs which are not always on their leads.
  • I will admit that the architecture is hideous and the shopping mall is soullous, but you shouldn't make judgement on all the poeple down here. It almost gives me the immpression that you are jealous that you haven't got a yacht.
  • It is a strange place indeed, carved out from the chalk cliffs on the promise that nothing higher than those cliffs would ever be built. It is indeed a marina, but over the years multiple housing projects have inveigled their way into the space -- obviously being more valuable than yacht moorings to the developers. Now there are plans to build some huge tower blocks where the Asda is, and rebuild a new Asda. Indeed a soulless place with souless shopping. However, on stormy days the harbour looks great from up above on the cliffs.
  • Very sad and boring comments on a lovely Marina, its not a soulless place, I agree however that the shops are a little sparse but this Marina in the summer comes alive with live music, boat races, festival fun and much more... There are constantly markets and different entertainment's going on. This is not a shopping village this is a Marina that boasts some lovely restaurants, and a great community atmosphere not only with residents and boat owners but tourists as well, maybe you should try visiting in the summer when the Marina is full of life!
