In 1952 International Rolling Mill Products purchased land from Illinois Brick and erected an extruding facility which was later leased to Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Company. Kaiser which later purchased to facility, ceased operations and sold the plant in 1984 citing increased labor problems. Newly formed Dalton Aluminum purchased the property in 1984 and operated the facility until 1999 when it was sold to Indalex which closed the facility in 2002. The buildings were demolished in 2009.
