In addition to a railway junction, the Boylan Wye houses Raleigh Union Station. Amtrak officially moved to this station on July 10th, 2018 to serve the Carolinian, the Piedmont, and the Silver Star train lines. Trains are serviced via an island platform on the southwest stretch of the wye.
