The Blue Water Energy Center is a natural gas-fed combined-cycle power plant operated by DTE that began operations in 2022. The plant is intended to be 70% cleaner and 40% percent more efficient than the three coal-fired plants it replaces and has a nameplate capacity of 1,150 MWe.
