State Park Lajeado - With the area of 9 thousand 931 hectares of savannah in the strict sense, covers part of the Serra do Lajeado, near the capital of Tocantins, Palmas. It was created on May 11, 2001, to protect the flora and fauna, as well as the waters born there. On his return, to protect a larger area, was created in the Environmental Protection Area (APA) of the Serra do Lajeado, also of state responsibility, the agency in charge of environment of the state, the Naturatins.

His imposing presence provides charming moments of contemplation. But it is at home where they found a world of adventure, with ecological attractions unforgettable. They are 100 waterfalls scheduled, 16 ribeirões, several streams and swamps, a real sanctuary of cold water and crystal and green trails. Serra also provides 13 caves, caverns and furnas, eight archaeological sites with Rock Paintings and seven belvederes. The fauna is comprised of more than 180 species of the families who live in the savannah.

Any extension of the Serra do Lajeado is conducive to the practice of sports of adventure as hiking, climbing, montain biking, paragliding, treking, horseback riding, safári photographic and contemplation of wild fauna and flora.
