The largest iron ore deposit in the world, with estimated reserves of 20 billion tonnes of iron - roughly 9% of the world's known reserves. Due to its remoteness, extraction has yet to begin, although the planning process is underway. The largest portion of the deposit lies in Bolivia with a small portion across the border in Brazil, where it is known as Serrania de Jacadigo after the neighbouring lake.
