The Part-Dieu tower, formerly the Crédit Lyonnais Tower, is also known as "The Crayon" because of its distinctive shape. Cylindrical 42-storey skyscraper opened to the public in 1977. Height of the top floor: 142 m (466 ft). Total height (at the top of the antenna): 165 m (541 ft).

The Radisson Blu Hotel, formerly Radisson SAS, formerly Le Meridien, formerly Pullman Hotel, occupies the top floors of the building, centered around an atrium, topped by a glass pyramid skylight.
