In 1990, expansion led to the development of the commercial real estate lending division and in 1993, the Bank became known as Sterling Bank and Trust, FSB, with the addition of the Trust division. Sterling’s headquarters and main office are located in Southfield, Michigan. Today, Sterling has 28 branches with locations throughout California, as well as one location in Michigan and New York.
