The art deco White House public house was designed by William Innes Thomson. It was built in 1936.
The White House is a 'B-listed' building, but its condition had been left to deteriorated It was on the Buildings at Risk list back in 2006 the area of craigmillar in Edinburgh was going through a major regeneration and the main developer bought the premises refurbished it and it was handed back to the community to be used as a community space.
