This park popularly known as 'The Rec' consists of a large open area, a full-sized football pitch, a basket ball court and children's play area.
This is a great place to visit with one's children in the warm and sunny months of summer.

  • I used to come here and play football with my friends when I was a kid.
  • A location which is an important part of my childhood. My father used to bring me here when I was a small child. Later, I visited here often from childhood to early adolescence playing football on the grass field (whilst being chased by the occasional dog) and cricket using the old pelican spring rider as the stumps! Me and my childhood friends would go through a phase of either using this park or Courtaulds Park (further south) as our main venue for recreation. I miss the good old days!
