Utraula is the headquarters of a taluk, situated in the Balrampur District of Uttar Pradesh. It is about 170 km north-east of the state capital Lucknow and 560 km south-west of New Delhi. The town, situated on state highway, has good road communication with Balrampur and Gonda.

  • Utraula is the birthplace of my parents and I like being there. I have been reading the comments above and it feels great that utraulvi are educated and highly movitated....the young crowd is doing great....I would like to request everybody here that we all need to make little effort to see that every child gets their minimum schooling done....If not much we can just do some counselling to these children and their parents about education.   • Dear Sarvesh, My grandmother came from Zillah (Gonda) Thanna (Utraula) Village (Utraula). Her name is Batula - Batuli Shahali. Her mum (my Great Gran) is Ramzani Achiq. My granny was one year old when she came to South Africa in 1910 August on the Umzinto XLIX which left from Calcutta. I am trying to trace my roots as I understand that my great granny's siblings should be in the same village.
