Odathil mosque which belongs to the famous "KEYI FAMILY" is a 200 year old Mosque in Kerala built by the patriarch of Keyi family,Mr.Moosa Kakka.
The name 'Odam' means sugarcane plantation in Portuguese as this place was once a sugarcane plantation belonged to the Portuguese and later with the East India company. Mr. Moosa Kakka,the millionaire trader and the agent of British East India company in India purchased this land from the Britsh and constructed the mosque according to the Kerala architecture.
