Historic shipyard that closed in 1996. At one time destroyed by the Germans during their occupation of the Low Countries, it was rebuilt and became one of so many economic success stories after WW2 until the 1970s. It shared the fate of many of Europe's shipyards, falling on harder times going up against competition from Asia.

This is where the SS Rotterdam was built, very near to where she rests now.
