This is a skewed trumpet system-interchange between Interstate 74 and U.S. Route 52 (South Andy Griffith Parkway) between Mount Airy and Pilot Mountain, North Carolina. It is a temporary eastern terminus of Interstate 74, which resumes southeast of Winston-Salem. U.S. Route 52 between here and Winston-Salem is planned to be upgraded to interstate standards as Interstate 74, but such upgrades are not funded or scheduled at this time. The interchange was built around 1998 as part of the Mount Airy bypass, and has not been significantly modified since.
