Burke Lake


This park has: fishing, boat rentals, Frisbee golf, normal golf, camping, a large playground and a mini train ride. It is a favorite destination for picnics, group and family reunions. The 4.5 mile path around the lake is the regional favorite for walking, running, and trail biking. A beautiful quiet trail to the southeast connects with Lake Mercer.

June 28-29 will be Amateur Radio Field Day (24hr). The Vienna Wireless Society will be conducting emergency training, contest operations, and public education, and hosting a 'Get On The Air' station, all on the field just outside the west park entrance.
Welcome Everyone. Feel free to stop by for a few minutes and make a ham radio contact of your own, using our equipment and the guidance of a licensed operator/instructor. Scouts will get badge credit through their own Scoutmaster.
