Approximate location of High Hill Beach

USA / New York / Massapequa /
 beach, hill, interesting place

High Hill Beach was a resort community with about 80 summer cottages that existed until 1939. When Robert Moses bought this land and created Jones Beach State Park, most of the homes/structures were demolished or moved to what is now West Gilgo Beach. It had a hotel and a casino and was known for being lax on prohibition laws. Today, the TOH maintenance is all that is located in the same vicinity.
