  • Inchhapuri railway station was made operational on 1st January 1957.The first train to arrive was from Rewari to Delhi at 0700 hrs. Sant shri Chander Prakash ji and his beloved son, myself, travelled in the inagural train from Rewari to Inchhapuri. The fare was just 31 paise.Sweets were distributed by the nearby villagers. Engine of train was decorated with baloons and coloured paper strips.People were thanking Lord Shiv of Inchhapuri Shiv temple for providing this railway station. The name of railway station was finalised with Northern railway divisional manager by my grand father Pt. Nand Kishore ji Vats, retired Head constable of erstwhile Punjab Police. Initially thr railway track was Meter gauge which has now been converted to Broad Gauge in the year 2006. S/Shri Ram Kishan Sharma opted to be first Station Master and Shravan Kumar Meena was the fist Waterman- total staff of two employees. Ram Kishan cured his lungs disease by drinking water from well at Mahadev Mandir and remain posted till his retirement.Sharavan Kumar, a very nice gentleman who subsequently promoted as Chief Ticket Inspector always thanked Lord Mahadev. In my memoray it is just a thing of past few days while in reality the Inchhapuri railway station has completed 50 golden years on 1st Jauary 2007. May lord Mahadev/Shiv bestow His warm blessings and protect us from all evils.
