Osmania Masjid. (Amravati)

The Masjid was built in early 20th. century for students of the than Govt . Mohammedan High School (now Govt. Multipurpose Higher Secondary School). at the base of the Mal Tekri to enable them to offer the prayers.This small but beautiful masjid resembles the historical Jama Masjid of Delhi. It has spacious courtyard and in the middle lies hauze(tank) .In recognition of major support rendered in establishment of educational institution and beautiful mosque by the Nizam of Hyderabad” Mir Osman Ali Khan, Asaf Jah VII”, this Masjid was named” Osmania Masjid.”
