Kernu Manor appeared on the map on 31 August 1637. The manor house, however, was built between 1810 and 1813 by Bernhard Heinrich Conrad Ungern-Sternberg. The manor has operated as a schoolhouse, a hospital, and a nursing home. In front of the manor, there is the beautiful Kernu artificial lake and the indoors are unique thanks to the curtains and furniture from St John’s Lodge, which belongs to Queen Elizabeth II of England. Today, the manor is a unique venue for concerts, theatrical performances, weddings, seminars, and celebrations. You can learn more about the history of the manor during pre-booked excursions.
