This is definitely the home of bestselling author Dean Koontz! He has been reported as saying that he has a taste for contemporary architecture and decided to build a mega-mansion in the ultra ritzy Newport development called Pelican Hill. If you are an OC fan you may remember that during the title sequence, the gates into the neighborhood where the Coen family lives are shown. The actual Coen residence is in Malibu but this is the community they shoot in the opening sequence. Dean Koontz supposedly does not like to travel so rather than spening his hard earned money on vacations he decided to build one of the nicest homes in the world. It is at least 25,000 sq. ft., takes up numerous lots and has a massive screening room where Mr. Koontz can view his books on screen if he chooses.
