Olema, California

USA / California / Point Reyes Station /
fault (geology), unincorporated area / community

For decades Olema's claim to fame was it's location, supposedly the epicenter of the great 1906 earthquake.
More recent seimological research places the epicenter south of San Francisco.
None the less, Olema does sit smack dab atop the San Andreas fault, and ground ruptures dating from 1906 are still visible along Olema Creek.
