In 1959 Chrysler Canada acquired 29 acres of land on the north side of Dixon Road where it constructed a warehouse the following year.
In 1963, Chrysler moved its National Parts Distribution Centre from Chatham, Ontario to the Rexdale site. A 1964 expansion more than doubled the size of the building to its present form. Eight years later in 1972 Chrysler opened a new National Parts Depot and Regional Offices in Mississauga and sold the Dixon Road warehouse to Sears Canada while retaining the 6 acre parcel where the Raddison Hotel was later constructed. Sears sold the property in 1991 to a group of European investors before it was acquired by Alain K Sutton in 1995 who converted the warehouse into a convention and meeting centre.
