Lecture hall (Seowon) is a place for scholars to study and perform memorial services. Pilam Lecture Hall was established in Gisan-ri, the hometown of Haseo In-Hu Kim (1510∼1560) to cherish the memory in the 23rd year of King Seonjo (1590).

It was disappeared in 1597 by Jeongyujaeran but was reconstructed in the 24th year of King Injo (1624). In the 3rd year of King Hyeonjong (1662), the King presented directly the hanging board that 'Pilamseowon (lecture hall)' and moved to its current location in 1627.

It has the type of Jeonhakhumyo that locates the learning place at the front and service place at the back. Starting from Hwakyeonru that is a resting place, Cheongjeoldang lecture is given and Dongjae and Seojae of students' living spaces are located there. To the north, separated space is made with door and fence for a shrine, and memorial services were given in that place.

Under the eaves of Cheongjeoldang, the tablet 'Pilamseowon (lecture hall)' written by Bong-Gu Yun is hanging, and the tablet written by Dongchun Jun-Gil Song is hanging at the main floored room. Also Wuam Si-Yeol Song wrote the tablet of Hwakyeonru. In the east of the shrine, there is Gyeongjanggak, and books and documents that were appointed to the treasury are kept there. This data has been succeeding from 18C to the early 20C They are such important data to study for the local education system, situation of society and economy, and the life of scholars at that time.
