former site of hosiery maker Phantom Industries founded by Alex Strasser and his sister Susan Karol in 1956 which closed in 20. The existing curved glass front building was constructed in 1983. At one time one out of every two branded hose sold in Canada was manufactured by Phantom. The 190,000 sq. ft. factory employed 400. In 2012 the property was converted into a self storage facility.
