Musayyib (Arabic: المسيب) is a majority Shi'a city in the Babil Province, Iraq. As of 2003, its population is 279,939.[1] The town is home to the Musayyib Power Plant,(located at 32°50′30.82″N, 44°16′29.55″E ) which can, according to experts, supply one quarter to one third of Iraq's electricity needs.
