The historic New Britain City Hall complex. The complex consists of three attached buildings. The middle and largest of the three was built in 1885 as the Russwin Hotel, and later converted into the city hall. It was reportedly designed by McKim, Mead & White. Flanking this building are two smaller structures. The west building is the Old Post Office Building, constructed in 1871.

The east building is the Old New Britain National Bank Building, constructed in 1860. The city hall complex shares a listing on the National Register of Historic Places (#73001957) with Central Park, located just across the street. All four properties are considered contributing elements to the Downtown New Britain Historic District.
