Public park on the site of a former mineral mine. The mine operated between 1828 and 1920, and again from 1942 to 1946. It yielded mostly tungsten (the first mine in the United States to do so), but also beryl, opal, topaz, tourmaline and other crystals and minerals.
The site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) for its archeological significance.
