The Saba Electric Company (SEC) solar park consists of two phases.
Phase 1 ("more than" 3200 panels) was completed in 2018 and phase 2 (2960 panels) in 2019. Their combined generating capacity is 2100 MWp "under ideal conditions" and represents 35-40 % of the island's power needs.
Surplus power is stored in Samsung lithium ion batteries with a capacity of 2,000KHw that are housed in a special 40ft. container with a 2,000 KHw battery storage located at the Elmer Linzey Power Plant at Fort Bay (on the opposite side of the island).
Note: the current imagery (from Feb 2018) shows the Phase 1 installation.
