Geoje Monorail Lower Station is where passengers embark on the monorail to the top of Gyeryong Mountain. The monorail is battery operated, regenerating when the car descends. In the lower station, the individual cars get robotically get plugged into chargers to assure the car has plenty of power to complete the trip.
Geoje Monorail, which opened in 2018, is accessed from inside the Geoje POW Camp and travels up the Gyeryong Mountain ridge to offer views of the Hallyeo Sea and the POW camp from an upper observation deck. Travel time is a 25-minute ride each way.
