Location of Barber Station (Former)

This was the location of the Barber depot which was moved to the NC Transportation Museum in Spencer NC in 1980. In the depot's prime, it served trains from Charlotte to Winston Salem and Asheville to Salisbury. The depot was replaced by the brick station/office used by Norfolk Southern for rail crews which depart from Barber Junction.
