Quarry of Herborn-Seelbach

Consists of two quarries: the one in the east has ceased exploitation, the other one still thrives. The rock it produces is an old volcanic hard stone, called "Diabas" (pH ~ 6,0-6,7). The surroundings offer rare flora and many butterflies.
