This estate is mentioned for the first time in 1334. Up to 1959 it remained in posession of the nobility. After this it came into possession of the municipality of Rijssen. It was completely renovated and now contains the museum of Rijssen and a museum of fire-fighting.

Opening hours of the museums:
- 10.00 - 12.00 and 14.00 - 17.00 from October to April, on weekdays;
- 10.00 - 17.00 from may to September on weekdays and on zaterdag from 14.00 - 17.00.
