1001 Columbus Avenue Storefront Block

USA / New Jersey / Edgewater / Columbus Avenue, 1001
 commercial building  Add category

1-story mercantile building completed around 1920. Composed entirely of storefronts lining both Columbus Avenue and Cathedral Parkway, the building is roughly shaped like a large triangle, with the backside cutting through the block at an angle. The storefronts are metal-and-glass, with bands of black, corrugated metal across the tops.

They are occupied on Columbus Avenue by a barber shop, a Boost Mobile wireless store, Liberated Fitness, Town Drug & Surgical, and Giovanni's Pizzeria, which has its entrance in the chamfered northwest corner and continues on the north facade, which is also occupied by Miss Mamie's Spoonbread Too takeout/delivery, and New York Threading Salon.
