The Anglican Chapel (grade I) was designed by John Griffith the Surveyor to the General Cemetery Company in 1835-6. The chapel was damaged by bombing in 1940 and later restored in 1954 under E.R. Bingham Harriss. This is the largest structure within the cemetery. It has a Greek Doric tetrastyle portico, with ‘L-shaped’ wings and a catacomb beneath.
