Durbe is one of the suburbs in Tukums. It formed after the World War I, when on the account of the manors that were situated in the area of the town, following the Agrarian Reform, the town’s area was expanded. During that time, the lots in this part of the town were obtained and inhabited by not the richest residents. But in the 60ties and 70ties of the 20th century, the area shaped up to be among the town’s wealthiest single home neighbourhoods with wonderful flower gardens and fruit tree orchards.
