Good Thunder is a city in Lyra Township, Blue Earth County, Minnesota, along the Maple River. The population was 583 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Mankato–North Mankato Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Good Thunder was served by the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad from 1874 until 1979.
