Shiquanhe is a town in Tibet. District capital of Ngari district (Chin. Ali), therefore also often called Ali / Ngari; also seat of Gar county.
Gar, which is one of the frontier counties, lies in the west of Tibet Autonomous Region. It covers 17,197 square kilometres with a population 9,800. Gar means in Tibetan "tents and barracks". Shiquanhe Town where Ngari prefecture and Gar County lies is the important border trade city and transportation centre.
