Pagoda House

Henry Ford bought this property in the 1920s and intended to build a second residence, but his wife Clara disliked the location, primarily because the river current was too fast for their children's safety. Ford had this unusual house built in 1939 and gave it to Harry Bennett, his right-hand man. There is no record of Bennett's having lived there, but there were constant rumors of rum running, even after Prohibition.
