Anini is the headquarters of Dibang Valley district in the state of Arunachal Pradesh in India. Before the bifurcation of the district into Dibang valley and Lower Dibang Valley District Anini was still the district headquarter. It is a very small underdeveloped town located on a pleateau overlooking river 'Dri' and located approximately 234 km from Roing. It has road and air links. Idu Mishimi (Yidu Lhoba) dominates here. The town is fully dependent on Roing which is the nearest town in Lower Dibang Valley District for all commercial necessities.
