Asanas or Ashanas was a medieval town sacked by the Mongol prince Jochi in 1219. The ruined site is located some 48 km southeast of Kyzylorda in Kazakhstan. It features traces of the walls and other structures, and is located just southeast of an old cemetery including some preserved tombs.
