The building is a former Presbyterian Church opened in 1851, built in the Romanesque style. It ceased to be used for religious purposes in 1922 and was converted into dwelling house and artist studio in 1924. Between 1933 to 1974 the building was used as a film studio and is now a single family dwelling house.
