Yawal is a Taluka place. It has the only Wildlife-Sanctuary in Jalgaon Dist.
Yawal as a town saw a lot of progress during the period of former Mayor:Late Dr Vilas Pathak, under whose leadership, the first major Water Tank was built pumping potable water regularly to 80% of the town, paving way for all-round development.
