Yarmiqam is situated in a beautiful sindh valley. The main crops are rice, cherry, and maize. Most of people are in government job due to benefit of backward area status.

  • Whole dist. Ganderbal Yarmuqam is the the beatiful place. Here is a big shrine at the village of yarmiqam. Many peopls come here when here is milad of baba-hanief_u_din sahib.
  • The most of the people are well qualified in village yarmuqam The education is at the top level but here are not much transport facilties due to which the people suffer particularly the students as they have to go from yarmuqam to manigam for their study in rainy days the students suffer more in coming from yarmuqam to Manigam four kms away from yarmuqam though the road has been built but it is not magdamised yet there are two forest ranges social foresty range and soil conservation range nurseries at the top of the village last year these ranges have been put under fencing due to the threat of wild animals and global warming all over the world last year there were freaquently loses of animals due to bears coming down to the village this year it has not been seen so far due to fencing Moreover a Govt Middle school is situated at the top of village near the foresty ranges this school has no boundry wall yet as a result the teachers and the students are always under the threat of wild animals under these situations the people of yarmuqam have been struggling for education More over there are no medical facilities as a result patients suffer some ladies died during labour pain before some years when they were coming down from yarmuqam to manigam to see a doctor keeping in view the Govt should do for the best of village yarmuqam

  • The village yarmuqam is one of the beautiful villages of District Ganderbal It is nearly 38 kms away from srinagar and nearly 16 kms away from the Ganderbal the village population is nearly 1000 In the east of yarmuqam is a village Arahama 3 kms away from yarmuqam In the west of yarmuqam there is a beautiful small village which is called watshan it is is 2 kms away from yarmuqam In its south there is a very big village which is called Manigam nearly 4 kms away from yarmuqam in the north there are beautiful ranges of hills the main occupation of the people of yarmuqam is that they are farmers Most of the people are Govt employers Litracy rate is very high The only thing is that the Govt has not provided the people of yarmuqam with proper transport facilities and no medical facilities The new roads which are under construction are not yet compleated The old road from Arahama to Yarmuqam is halfly magdamised due to these conditions there is no sufficent transport facilities to this village The word YARMUQAM in kashmiri means a place of a friend YAR means friend and MUQAM means a place Here in Yarmuqam there is a Holy tomb of Syed Baba Haneef Din (RH) He was a great saint In March April the people of yarmuqam cellebrate the urs of this wali on this day of cellebration the people are made aware by ullma that every one should bow before only one Allah and no other one that had been done by this wali Allah during his whole life and other messengers and Holy men of Allah The name of village Yarmuqam is thus after this great saint we all should follow the way of Tawheed and Resallat like Baba Haneef Din (RH) on the north side of village behind the hills there is a beautiful marg which is called mohand marg It is a meadow ground about 20 kms along the road to Ladhak in north of srinagar near Manigam through yarmuqam to open out across into a wide medow that gives a view of sindh valley on one side and the valley of kashmir on the other side Aurel Stein Located Mohand marg in 1894 The first person who met him there was a shepherd mamed Rustum Pohul Stein fell in Love with the spot He called it his own kingdom the marg was his true and spiritual home and for him it was a sight for the paradise From mohand marg he went kabul where he died in 1943 Aurel stein was a man who translated kallahan's Rajtarangini into Eng he was a great scholar of England and a writer .As we know that Rajtarangini is a book which is called the heritage of kashmir it is said that Rajtarangini was translated in mohand marg in Eng by Stein during his visit in mohand marg Another feature of mohand marg is that this marg is found full of flowers during summer season one of the flower which is present in this marg is called Mohand Posh is used for making medicines for different diseases The other places of mohand marg are Lar marg and peer pal these places are famous for sweat and freash water springs Though there are no transport facilities from yarmuqam to mohand marg even then some tourists are found visiting the spot every year sheep Deptt officials with sheep and Gogar Bakerwalls are dlso found with their cattle every year so it is really surprising that why The Govt of kashmir is not giving attention towards this mohand marg so that it will become a beautiful health resort spot ?

The distence yarmuqam and anderwan 5 km. Many tourist come at the yarmuqam and anderwan. Because yarmuqam is the beautiful place in the distric ganderbal. At yarmuqam here is larwari,boomb khd,.and other many beautiful places .
