The western end of this location (417 E Main St.) was a former used car parking lot for Courtesy Motor Co./Courtesy Leasing Co. (main office located at 410 E Main St. [across the street from here {currently American Home Supply}]) from 1952 until around mid 1973; the middle part of this location (421 [or 423] E Main St.) was a former restaurant/ice cream parlor (The) Roxy from July 23, 1937 until around Summer 1942 and restaurant The Spot Steakhouse/The Spot Steak House/Spot Barbeque/Spot Barbecue from September 4, 1942 (sometimes known as Spot Steakhouse No. 1 in 1955) until 1973; the eastern end of this location (425 E Main St. [just next door from the former The Spot Steakhouse]) were another former restaurants Dixie Bar-B-Q from September 30, 1930 until around late 1940's and Dixie Restaurant/Dixie Drive-In/Dixie Drive-In Restaurant from around late 1940's until December 19, 1972. Both restaurant buildings including the used car parking lot were demolished in the mid 1970's. This entire area became a fast food restaurant chain, building constructed around mid 1977 and restaurant opened on December 13, 1977. That (old) original McDonald's restaurant was demolished in February 2000, while this present McDonald's restaurant was constructed around March 2000 and reopened on July 29, 2000 at 5pm with an indoor PlayPlace added. Self-order kiosks were introduced in 2018 and this restaurant (both interior and exterior) was renovated and modernized around early 2019.
