  • For chidrens of Badnera, a beautiful photo of 2 WPs steam locomotives is uploaded above (5th from left), they aren’t waiting at loco shed Badnera but somewhere else to haul mail/express trains on their median journey. These engines were easily recognized by their cone-shaped bulging nose with Silver Star device (usually) painted on it. The WPs (4-6-2) class locos were designed, specifically for low-calorie, high ash Indian coal by the Railway Board designers in India, and introduced after World War II, remained in meritorious service of the Nation till late 1980s. I hope that you will like the photo uploaded above and this little information; you may share it among your friends.
  • The photo uploaded is that of Akola-Amravati passenger, waiting at Badnera station on platform No.3 for line clearance for onward journey on 3rd October 2007.
