Geography
Geographically Balkara comes under western part of Thar desert named Bhiwani Bagar so
the area is semi arid but now a days after electricity supply and uplift irrigation system
scheme of Haryana state this does not seems a part of desert.
Balkara has a large shared grazing land(Bani) and three ponds.
Other neighbouring villages which share boundaries (Seem) with Balkara are Ghasola in North,
Mauri in East, Makrani in East-South, Chillar & Doodhwa in Soth, Datoli in South-West and
Mandoli in West.

Agriculture
Agriculture is main occupation and source of livelihood here. Normally both Rabi and Kharif
are shown which mainly includes Mustard, Wheat, Barley, Oat, Gram and some vegetables etc.
Main irrigation source is ground water through tube wells, apart from that a small area is also
irrigated by canal water as well and the rest depends on monsoon and western disturbances.
