Formerly the Margate Drive-In Theater (later, Lake Shore Drive-In), but it closed in 1984. Preston Henn turned it into the Swap Shop North, which was a smaller version of the swap meet (or a flea market), but was purchased by the city of Margate in 2006, for the city's Community Resource Agency.
It is still in use for public functions such as carnivals, open markets, and as a large parking lot for town gatherings. This land is intended for a future "Downtown Margate" shopping area, as demolition of nearby areas is already underway. There is a biweekly Sunday farmer's market here from Autumn through Spring, as of early 2010.
