ruins, archaeological site, fort, earthwork (archaeology)
A ruined site (designated MOR 5) within the inundation zone of the Orkhon river in central Mongolia. Archaeological investigation in 2008 failed to uncover surface artifacts that would allow precise dating, and more intrusive exploration is made impossible by the fact that the site served as a cemetery for the inhabitants of modern Kharkhorin.
